Q7 Editing
Briefing
Creating unique and classy or splashy presentations is another skill area to tackle. In this Quest you will learn how to edit your presentations and change the background, the layout, the theme, and apply transitions. Great job so far, now learn how to fix problems so you can help others.
Steps:
1. Open The World In Which We Live slideshow. Look at the drop down menu for SLIDE at the top of this page. You are going to experiment with changing various elements.
2. Go to SLIDE, then scroll down to BACKGROUND, change the color of the background for your slide only. Try it with a picture too. You may notice that if you use a picture as your background it makes it really difficult to read the text. If you use a picture as your background put your text on the top of a colored shape and so it will show up. Change it back the way you want it after experimenting.
3. Go to SLIDE and then scroll down to LAYOUT. This is most likely what you would determine before you inserted all of the text boxes and images. At this point you would not change the LAYOUT, however if you want to try it you can just hit the UNDO button if you do not like the change.
4. Go to SLIDE and then scroll down to THEME. If you change the theme consult your team because it will change it for the entire presentation.
5. Go to SLIDE and then scroll down to TRANSITION. A transition is how the slides move from one slide to the next. Try a few transitions however discuss with your team if you want all of the transitions to be the same of different.
6. Do a screen capture of any of the changes you made for Level 5.
