Briefing
During this Quest, you are going to learn how to create, organize, use and save your bookmarks in the Cloud so that you can retrieve them no matter what computer or device you are on. You will begin by creating an account, save a bookmark, use tags, organize your bookmarks, share your bookmarks with a friend and discover how bookmarking in the Cloud is a very useful tool.
Diigo itself has a number of how-to videos on their site which we recommend you watch.

Steps:
1. You will create your account. Go to diigo.com and choose Join Diigo
a. Click the Join Diigo button in the upper right corner of the screen.
b. Username: don’t ever use your real name as part of a username
c. Password: make a powerful password
d. Record your username and password in your LOCKBOX (see your teacher)
e. Now start saving…
2. Now that you have a Diigo account, you are ready for the next step of saving and tagging your bookmarks. If you don't remember how to save and tag bookmarks, go to the following video and refresh your memory.
3. Save between 6-10 sites that are interesting. Find school appropriate websites that you might need for Social Studies, Math, Language Arts, Science, and any of your electives. You may also choose topics that are interesting to you such as horses, sports, cars.
4. Use 2 or more different tags appropriate for Each Site

What are Tags?
A tag is keyword, term or description that is assigned to a piece of information. Each piece may have multiple tags. For example the pen in the picture could have the tags Pen, Marker, Sharpie, and Purple.What other tags could you give the marker?Tags in Diigo help us sort bookmarks and to find websites at a later date.
5. In each description field write 2 – 3 full sentences that describe what resources are available on the website you are saving.
6. Now that you have some bookmarks saved and tagged, it is time to share them with a friend or teacher in your classroom. Go to the bookmark you would like to share, click on share and type in the friend or teacher's email address. You have shared your bookmark with them!

8. Take a screenshot to show that you have saved, tagged and shared a bookmark and save in your Your Documents then save to the Shared Drive.
